Team Time

We developed Team Time in 2020 as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Team Time was a 45-minute reflective practice run and facilitated online. As with Schwartz Rounds, the focus was on participants’ emotional and social response to their work. However, unlike Schwartz Rounds, the audience was limited in size and drawn from an area/department of a health/social care site rather than from across the organisation. The audience comprised people within the same specialty/pathway, who would consider each other colleagues in the work of that area.

We are grateful to The Health Foundation for supporting the development of this initiative. We published two early evaluations of the first phase of Team Time based on interviews with facilitators and online feedback from participants.

Team Time was developed to address the immediate challenges of the pandemic, during which in-person Schwartz Rounds become very difficult to run. It is no longer in operation.
