Our work with Integrated Care Systems
Citizen Voice projects – new
The Point of Care Foundation’s work is based on the universal human experience of telling stories and working with experiences.
Our Citizen Voice projects help Integrated Care Systems to implement the new Working with People and Communities guidance. Every implementation support project is unique to you.
Citizens’ voices programme – our offer
The Point of Care Foundation is working with Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) who are looking for support to co-create a strategic approach for working with people and communities
Following the 10 principles of for working with people and communities we provide training and support for an innovative approach to engagement: step by step training and support for citizen researchers to engage with Citizen Voices through qualitative interviews based on anthropological methods. We cover:
- Narrative interviewing
- Preparing people to share their story and keeping them safe
- Listening to stories and surfacing meaning
- Managing high emotion
- Debriefing storytellers
- Making sense of your data
- Working with groups – developing creative approaches to engagement and involvement
Great Engagement practice – theory into practice
The Point of Care Foundation is working with Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) to develop their emerging strategies for engaging with and involving their communities. The challenge for ICSs is to deliver strategies based on high quality engagement without duplicating the excellent work that is already taking place within statutory and voluntary sectors.
We co-produce with you:
- your engagement strategy tailored to your context
- the overarching framework for what ‘good’ looks like for engagement in your context
- a map of existing engagement activity
- recommendations for future engagement
We also provide training and support to your stakeholders in co-production methods and great involvement practice.
